Personal Care & CFSS Services
Personal Care Assistance (PCA) services help individuals with disabilities, chronic conditions, or age-related needs manage daily tasks with confidence and dignity. A trained caregiver comes to your home and provides the support you need so you can focus on living your life.
Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) is Minnesota's newest home care program - and as of October 1, 2024, it has officially replaced PCA. It provides the same daily living support as PCA but gives you more choices about how your care is delivered and who delivers it.
Our PCA /CFSS Services Include
-
Bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
-
Dressing and mobility support
-
Meal preparation and eating assistance
-
Medication reminders
What Makes CFSS Different
Family caregivers can now be paid - spouses and parents of minor children can be hired and compensated as support workers
To Qualify, You need to
-
Live in your own home or community, not in a nursing facility
-
Be enrolled in Medical Assistance or a qualifying Minnesota health care program
-
Complete a MnCHOICES assessment confirming you need help with daily activities
If you previously received PCA, you most likely qualify for CFSS
No need to do anything right now. Your transition to CFSS will happen automatically at your next annual reassessment. We will guide you through it every step of the way.
